Bikini season brings on the annual battle of the hair!  For long lasting results most people far prefer waxing over shaving.  The greatest benefit of waxing is that the hair doesn’t grow back for approximately four to six weeks.

Getting a bikini or a Brazilian wax is not for the modest amongst you.  Generally you are bearing all while the esthetician works to remove the hair.

WAXING STYLES:

The BIKINI removes the hair from outside the panty line on the tops of the legs and the inner thighs.

A BIKINI + (PLUS) removes a little more hair than the regular BIKINI, making it more convenient to wear those teensie-weensie bikinis.

A BRAZILIAN is the most extreme and removes all hair.  You may ask to have a “landing strip” left if that’s your style.  Both versions also include waxing the hair in the back.

Remember that YOU decide how much you want removed, so be sure to be vocal with your waxing expert about exactly what you want.

Before making your waxing appointment, the hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (probably a couple of weeks’ growth).

What does it feel like?  On the pain scale most people would say that it’s between an eight and a 10.  But at Alegra Skin Care & Day Spa we use the finest French hard wax which is designed for sensitive areas.  That doesn’t make it pain free, but this type of wax makes it less painful than waxes being used at some other spas.
