PRE-PEEL CONSULTATION – 15-30 minutes Prior to a peel, it is highly recommended that you make an appointment for a 15-30 minute complimentary consultation where we take an in-depth look at your skin to customize a skin care plan to meet your needs. No charge
PRE-PEEL SKIN CARE KIT Whether you choose to have a Pre-Peel Consultation or not, it is recommended that 14 days prior to a peel you begin using a PCA Skin Care Kit which contains all of the products needed to prepare your skin for a skin peel with more predictable and maximum results. $ 50
PCA EXFOLIATING TREATMENTS Soften the depth of surface lines around the eyes and nasolabial folds, help clear acne, smooth skin texture and even skin tone especially in oily skin. These three PCA Peel blends combine alpha hydroxy acids with kojic acid (with or without hydroquinone) with a standard peel solution to address hyperpigmentation from sun damage, inflammation and hormonal changes. AHAs and tyrosinase inhibitors suppress the enzyme tyrosinase to discourage the skin from creating new hyperpigmentation. Hydroquinone is optional in these formulas and is FDA approved to lighten the skin. $145
PCA Peel Hydroquinone Free provides an effective option for more sensitive skin and those with sensitivity or allergies. $ 145
PCA Peel with Hydroquinone provides an exceptional blend of hydroquinone, kojic acid and lactic acid which provide lightening and strengthening power with minimal surface stimulation. Helps treat acne, hyperpigmentation and surface texture issues. $ 145
PCA Peel with Hydroquinone and Resorcinol combines the lightening and brightening power of hydroquinone, kojic and lactic acids with strengthening and flaking agents to leave the skin smooth and clear for dramatic improvement in hyperpigmented, resilient skin types. $ 145
ULTRA PEEL® I EXFOLIATING TREATMENT Specifically formulated to treat dehydrated, maturing skin, Ultra Peel® I is appropriate for all skin types, conditions and sensitivities, but is particularly ideal for sensitive skin. Helps treat smoker’s skin, pigment disorders, sun damaged skin and acne. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation, depending on the number of layers applied. The final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin. $ 145
ULTRA PEEL® II EXFOLIATING TREATMENT – add-on treatment The Ultra Peel® II treatment may be added on to any of the PCA peels for an additional lightening, tightening and brightening effect. Add additional hydration and a deeper exfoliation will be achieved. $ 40
SENSI PEEL® EXFOLIATING TREATMENT Sensi Peel® is appropriate for all skin types, conditions and sensitivities, but particularly for super sensitive skin. It will effectively treat acne, rosacea, pigment disorders, aging skin, smoker’s skin and photo damaged skin. It gives a gradual lightening, but instant tightening and leave the skin plump with hydration. $ 145
ESTHETIQUE PEEL™ A super antioxidant, anti-aging peel appropriate for all clients in need of facial rejuvenation. The Esthetique Peel® will improve skin texture and clarity, while keeping the skin moist and hydrated. This anti-aging treatment will induce post treatment flaking/peeling resulting in a smooth surface and texture as well as a taut skin. $ 145
PUMPKIN PEEL TREATMENT This is a powerful antioxidant keratolytic treatment which stimulates circulation, promotes healing, exfoliates and draws impurities out of the skin. At the same time, it introduces vitamins, enzymes and nutrients into the skin. It offers more than 100 beneficial components, including the highest concentration of natural Vitamins A, C and beta-carotene. All skin types and conditions will benefit from this mask. May be performed every three weeks. $ 120
NON-BURNING FACIAL PEEL This peel may be used by everyone with any skin condition, any age. The Non-Burning Facial Peel is a great choice for those who do not want to wait 48 hours before exercising after having a peel. This treatment uses the Ultra Peel II serum which is an acid-free, time-released retinol cream. It has a delayed flaking action that creates no irritation or downtime and leaves the skin glowing and hydrated. $ 110

PRE-TREATMENT PROTOCOLS FOR SKIN PEELS

WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE A PEEL?

CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Anyone who has any of the following situations should NOT have a peel at this time:

  • Accutane use within the past six (6) months
  • Active herpes simplex (cold sores) on treatment area
  • Facial warts
  • Pregnant or lactating women (except for the Oxygenation Trio Treatment or a Detox Gel Deep Pore Treatment)
  • History of sun allergies
  • Prior adverse reaction to a skin peel
  • Recent radiation treatment for cancer
  • Sunburn, significant sun exposure or wind-burn with the last two (2) weeks
  • Surgery or cryosurgery within the last month in the area to be peeled
  • Current use of antibiotics (may cause skin to be ultra-sensitive).

PRE-PEEL PROTOCOLS:

The following protocols are highly recommended prior to a peel as a more predictable outcome and better results will be achieved if the following recommendations are followed:

1. Before an appointment refrain from:

• Having a chemical peel (14 days prior) – results will be unpredictable.
• Tanning in a tanning booth or in the sun (3 weeks prior and post-treatment).
• Sun exposure or tanning booth exposure may result in hyperpigmentation.
• Having a wax or chemical depilatory treatment (7 days prior).
• Getting Botox® or dermal fillers injected (7 days prior).
• Using Retin-A®, Differin®, Tazorac® and high percentage glycolic acid products (5-10 days prior).

2. Before an appointment DO:

• Use a PCA Skin® Clinical Care Products trial pak for at least two weeks prior to any treatment to prepare the skin for a peel and to allow for maximum treatment results. (See “Consultation” above). The trial size pre-peel products package provides enough products to prepare your skin for the peel treatment.
• Discontinue Retin-A®, Renova® or Avage® and high percentage glycolic acid products for five to 10 prior to your treatment, and Tazorac® for 10-14 days post-treatment.

(NOTE: Always check with your treating physician before discontinuing the use of any prescription medications).

3. If lactating, pregnant or possibly pregnant, you may have the Oxygenating Trio Treatment or a Detox Gel Deep Pore Treatment ONLY.

POST-TREATMENT PROTOCOLS FOR SKIN PEELS REQUIRED:

For the first TWO days do NOT:

  • Apply ice or ice water to the treated areas.
  • Put the face directly into a hot shower spray. Do not use a hot tub, steam room or sauna or go swimming.
  • Participate in activities that would cause excessive perspiration.
  • Use ANY exfoliators or loofahs or other means of exfoliation on the treated area

DO: STAY COOL!! Getting overheated internally can cause hyperpigmentation (brown discolorations). The following protocols are required after a peel.

  • Use a Post Peel Pak which contains all the necessary products to protect and enhance your treatment. Follow the directions for use.
  • IT IS ESSENTIAL to avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat after a peel. ABSOLUTELY do not go to a tanning booth! Exposure to the sun and overheating may cause hyperpigmentation. Use pHaze 6+ Hydrator Plus SPF 25, or pHaze 7 Protecting Hydrator SPF25 for daily sun protection.
  • DO NOT rub, pick or pull any loosening or exfoliating skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation.
  • Discontinue Retin-A® or Renova® for seven days post treatment, and Tazorac® for 10-14 days post-treatment. (NOTE: Always check with your treating physician before discontinuing the use of any prescription medications).
  • DO NOT have any electrolysis, collagen, Botox® or Restylane® injections, facial waxing or use depilatories for approximately five days after treatment.
