“The moment I walked up the stairs into this wonderful day spa I felt relaxed. The lightly scented air and the calming décor were very welcoming. Gaye is the most amazing esthetician that I have come across. My skin is still glowing from her wonderful facial. I have handed out business card to my friends and business associates I was so impressed. Matter of fact I am going to go back to get more…everyone should feel this good!”

“I went into Alegra Day Spa for my first professional eyebrow shaping looking like a Neanderthal woman. I came out with great looking eyebrows and feeling pampered and well cared for. Gaye has a professional attitude, a light touch and a very nice personality. I’ll go back.”

“I rarely comment on a service that should be good and is. But I’ll make an exception here. This was a gift from my daughter and now I have another reason to love her. Great facial and I have been getting them for years. My search is over–this place is excellent. The owner knows what she is doing and you don’t need to cringe as the products are introduced, feeling as if you will be pressured to buy them before you leave. Very relaxing, wonderfully lasting effects.”

Pros: charming, low key, affordable, relaxing no pressure atmosphere, great products

“This was simply a dream day! Our afternoon at the spa made our trip to San Diego complete. A girlfriend and I came for a week and spent most of one day at the Alegra. What a treat. Every last detail was excellent. Fabulous way to spend the day. Wish we had Alegra in San Francisco!”

“If you’re looking for ultimate relaxation and the most fabulous facial of your life, go see Gaye! I’ve been jumping around from spa to spa since I moved here from Los Angeles. I was referred about a year ago by a friend who told me that Gaye was very knowledgeable and thorough and did a lot of extras which aren’t normally included in the price. She was right on. When Gaye was finished I felt total euphoria. My search is over. I am now going every month and I am hooked. My skin has never looked or felt better. I’ve also had four microcurrent lifting and toning facials and I am looking years younger and perkier than my age. You’ve got to try this non-surgical face lift. So easy — no downtime — no pain. I’m telling everyone about my new-found youth!”

First I had an outstanding massage by Tracey who absolutely gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Then I had a European Facial by the owner. She seemed very skilled and gave me a great European facial treatment which included a little machine which made my skin feel as smooth as silk. I was in heaven. My skin looked really terrific.  I would recommend this place to anyone. Prices are very reasonable.”

I can’t say enough good things about this lovely little gem of a day spa! I’ve never had a personal experience like that in a spa before. I went in as a customer but came out feeling like I had made some great new friends.

It had been kind of a stressful summer with my youngest going off to college and other crazy stuff so I decided to initially try the Ultimate Body Renewal wrap with a full hour massage to unwind a little. Let me tell you, I went back to the hotel so completely relaxed that the only muscles that still worked were the ones keeping the smile on my face for the rest of the night!

After that, I decided to bring my work-a-holic husband for one of Sherry’s amazing massages and treat myself to the Treatment 21 facial experience.

I was completely intrigued with the Treatment 21 from the minute I read about it’s combination of an aromatherapy anti-aging facial with a guided imagery program. I chose the Prosperity and Success program to listen to while Gaye, the owner and esthetician, turned back the clock a few years on my skin with that magic facial. My skin hasn’t looked that great in a long time.

The imagery program I chose was an incredibly uplifting and positive addition to the facial. In fact, it actually helped unblock my mind that same day about a business problem that I was stuck on.

I came home with the complete CD of the programs and have found every one of them to be extremely helpful, relaxing and so mentally energizing that I try to listen to one every day now.

I hope to be able to go back to SD with my husband again in October and you can bet I’ll be going back to the Alegra again.”

“Alegra Skin Care & Day Spa has a warm, relaxing and positive environment. I tried the Reynard Way Indulgence spa package and I was in heaven for over 3 hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My PCA anti-aging facial was incredible, especially the facial massage; and the body massage was one of the best I’ve had. I would encourage others to try this place. I’ll be back.”

I thought Alegra had the most perfect atmosphere. It was nice and clean but yet relaxing and hypnotic. It was the best place I had been for a facial in San Diego. I liked it so well I went back for a wax and I had the same great service.
